Building Surveys for Schools, Colleges, Universities and Academies
When surveying any educational establishment the checklist is, as you would imagine, highly comprehensive.
Many educational buildings have been in use for decades, some for hundreds of year but even if they’re more recently built … the need to inspect, document and record visually each and every key area is important.
All schools are different, but the rules are the same and, due to the size of some buildings, access can often be difficult, even dangerous. The advent of video drones however, allow us to access previously inaccessible roof and buttress areas, being able to see in fine detail the condition and report on it.
Certification checks and safety checks are of course all most necessary and
we’re often called in to find that information isn’t available or those on site have no idea where it is. Which is why at Cube Building Consultancy, when completing surveys and assessments of educational buildings, we will always provide, in advance, details of what will definitely be needed, what would be valuable and useful and what would a ‘good to have’. Our role is not to find fault but to support whomever has the responsibility in achieving their objectives.
